Dimensions: 4'1" x 6'5" (124 cm x 196 cm).
Circa: 1930.
This antique circa 1930 Hamadan rug is a hand-knotted Persian village weaving with a finely detailed geometric medallion composition, stepped ivory field, and distinctive powder blue border. Its richly articulated tribal motifs, dark brown outlines, and soft patina create a collector-worthy balance of graphic structure and timeworn character. An ideal accent for a living room, bedroom, or office.
Faded neutral tones of ivory, taupe, powder blue, dark brown, charcoal, slate, camel, and cream, with a ivory field.
Hamadan is a Kurdish city in north western Iran famed for its rug production. Numerous villages around the city produce rugs with their own design elements, all under the name Hamadan. They are woven on a cotton foundation, and are single wefted.
