Dimensions: 4'9" x 6'1" (145 cm x 185 cm).
Circa: 1930.
This antique circa 1930 Karaje rug is a hand-knotted Persian tribal weaving with a finely drawn ivory field, powder blue accents, and a sequence of angular medallions. Its richly detailed geometric motifs, stepped outlines, and layered borders create an elegant, time-softened presentation unique to this one-of-a-kind handmade rug. An ideal accent for a living room, bedroom, or entryway.
Faded neutral tones of ivory, powder blue, taupe, charcoal, brown, slate, and cream, with a ivory field.
Karaje is a town in north west Iran in the Azerbaijan province close to Heriz. They are known for producing geometric rugs similar to Heriz on a cotton foundation and single wefted.
