Dimensions: 4'0" x 6'5" (122 cm x 196 cm).
Circa: 1930.
This antique circa 1930 Hamadan rug is a hand-knotted Persian village weaving with a softly weathered sage field, blush accents, and earthy rust outlines. Its vertically organized floral and geometric motifs, framed by a richly patterned border, showcase the distinctive character and individual artistry of handmade, one-of-a-kind Hamadan craftsmanship. An ideal centerpiece for a living room, bedroom, or office.
Faded neutral tones of sage, dusty rose, ivory, taupe, rust, camel, charcoal, and terracotta, with a sage field.
Hamadan is a Kurdish city in north western Iran famed for its rug production. Numerous villages around the city produce rugs with their own design elements, all under the name Hamadan. They are woven on a cotton foundation, and are single wefted.
