Antique Malayer Runner Rug (3' x 9')

Dimensions: 3'0" x 9'2" (91 cm x 279 cm). Circa: 1930. This antique circa 1930 Malayer runner from Persian Iran is a hand-knotted, one-of-a-kind weaving with a softly weathered blue gray field and richly articulated terracotta border. Its elongated all-over arrangement of angular floral and tribal motifs, framed by graphic ivory and dark brown guard details, gives the wool pile a refined village-rug character. An ideal accent for a hallway, entryway, or kitchen. Faded warm tones of blue gray, terracotta, dark brown, ivory, taupe, rust, charcoal, and sage, with a blue gray field.
