Dimensions: 5'9" x 8'7" (175 cm x 262 cm).
This vintage Jijim rug is a handmade, one-of-a-kind flatwoven textile with a striking all-over lattice of geometric medallions that reflects tribal weaving traditions. Its softly faded palette of rose, ivory, and deep brown gives the piece an earthy, collected character, while the repeating motifs and crisp linear drawing create strong visual rhythm and decorative depth. A versatile accent for a living room, bedroom, or office.
Faded warm tones of rose, ivory, brown, taupe, and charcoal, with a rose field.
Jijim is a flat weave. It is usually woven on a horizontal loom in a similar way as a Kilim, but where warps are grouped together, they often have brocaded embellishments. They were used as bed covers or curtains and are mostly found in northwest Iran, Turkey, and the Caucasus.
