Vintage Jijim Area Rug (7' x 8')

Dimensions: 7'1" x 8'4" (216 cm x 254 cm).

Colors: brown, ghost white, gray, light gray, off-white, pink, red, rosy brown, snow, whitesmoke.

Jijim is a flat weave. It is usually woven on a horizontal loom in a similar way as a Kilim, but where warps are grouped together, they often have brocaded embellishments. They were used as bed covers or curtains and are mostly found in northwest Iran, Turkey, and the Caucasus.
