This antique Karaje runner, circa 1930, is a handmade, one-of-a-kind village weaving with a striking sequence of geometric medallions set along a softly faded field. Its tribal drawing, angular motifs, and layered border pattern give the piece strong architectural presence, while the subdued ivory, taupe, and sand palette makes it especially versatile for collected interiors. An ideal choice for a hallway, entryway, or narrow living space.
Faded neutral tones of ivory, taupe, sand, beige, camel, and light brown, with a ivory field.
Karaje is a town in north west Iran in the Azerbaijan province close to Heriz. They are known for producing geometric rugs similar to Heriz on a cotton foundation and single wefted.
