Dimensions: 2'5" x 6'3" (74 cm x 191 cm).
Circa: 1940.
This antique circa 1940 Hamadan runner is a handmade, one-of-a-kind Persian rug with a finely articulated geometric lattice and stylized floral motifs. Its softly aged ivory and brown palette, framed by a graphic reciprocal border, showcases the enduring character of traditional Hamadan weaving. An ideal accent for a hallway, entryway, or kitchen.
Faded neutral tones of ivory, taupe, brown, charcoal, camel, and ebony, with a ivory field.
Hamadan is a Kurdish city in north western Iran famed for its rug production. Numerous villages around the city produce rugs with their own design elements, all under the name Hamadan. They are woven on a cotton foundation, and are single wefted.
