Dargazin is a village in the Hamadan district of northwest Iran, known for producing finely woven rugs with a distinctive curvilinear quality unusual for the region. Dargazin rugs typically feature all-over herati patterns or elaborate floral medallion designs executed with a precision more often associated with city workshops than village production.
Their construction is single-wefted on a cotton foundation, and their palette tends toward deep, saturated reds and blues. They are among the more refined and sought-after of Hamadan-area rugs.
