Dimensions: 4'0" x 9'9" (122 cm x 297 cm).
This vintage Meshkin rug is a handmade, one-of-a-kind runner with a softly faded tribal design rooted in the weaving traditions of Northwest Persia. Its geometric medallion composition, pale blush and ivory field, and delicate border motifs create an airy, timeworn look that still showcases the precision of hand-knotted craftsmanship. An elegant choice for a hallway, bedroom, or entryway.
Faded neutral tones of ivory, blush, taupe, beige, dusty rose, and slate, with a ivory field.
Meshkin (also Meshginshahr) is a town in the Ardebil region of northwestern Iran, producing rugs that combine the bold geometric vocabulary of Caucasian work — which has heavily influenced the region — with Persian tribal traditions. Meshkin rugs typically feature large, bold medallion designs or all-over geometric field patterns in strong, saturated colors: rich reds, deep blues, and ivory.
They are woven on a wool foundation with a medium-to-long pile and natural dyes. Their energetic designs and robust construction make them equally suited to formal rooms and casual spaces that benefit from strong color and pattern.
