This antique Persian Mahal rug, circa 1920, is a hand-knotted, one-of-a-kind carpet with a richly layered all-over floral design in softened rust, aqua, ivory, and gold. Its expansive field of palmettes, rosettes, and scrolling vines is framed by a wide, finely detailed botanical border, creating the relaxed grandeur prized in early 20th-century Mahal weaving. An ideal centerpiece for a living room, dining area, or bedroom. Faded warm tones of rust, aqua, ivory, blue gray, sage, gold, terracotta, and taupe, with a rust field.
