This antique Afghan rug, circa 1930, is a handmade, one-of-a-kind tribal weaving with a beautifully faded palette and a classic field of repeating guls framed by multiple geometric borders. Its soft ivory ground, taupe and camel patterning, and finely drawn motifs give it an understated collector's character, while the hand-knotted construction and time-softened surface make it especially versatile in layered interiors.
