This vintage Cactus Kilim rug is a handmade, one-of-a-kind flatweave with a warm terracotta field and finely spaced tribal motifs that reflect North African weaving traditions. Its minimalist composition, zigzag side borders, and softly faded palette give it an airy decorative presence while preserving the character and artistry collectors seek in vintage kilims. Cactus Silk kilims are handcrafted by female artisans in Morocco using agave (sabra) fiber — sometimes called "vegetable silk" — rather than wool or cotton. The resulting textile has a distinctive luminous sheen and a supple, almost liquid drape quite unlike any other flat-woven rug.

Weavers use a flat-woven background as a canvas and add simple yet bold tribal designs — geometric stars, diamonds, and zigzag stripes — in vivid, saturated colors.
