This vintage Cactus Kilim rug is a handmade, one-of-a-kind flatweave with a luminous sky-blue field and spare tribal motifs that give it a distinctly Moroccan decorative presence. Its minimalist composition is framed by a stepped border and accented with small geometric symbols in ivory, gold, rose, and charcoal, creating an airy, collectible look with artisan character. Cactus Silk kilims are handcrafted by female artisans in Morocco using agave (sabra) fiber — sometimes called "vegetable silk" — rather than wool or cotton. The resulting textile has a distinctive luminous sheen and a supple, almost liquid drape quite unlike any other flat-woven rug.

Weavers use a flat-woven background as a canvas and add simple yet bold tribal designs — geometric stars, diamonds, and zigzag stripes — in vivid, saturated colors.
