Dimensions: 11'5" x 13'8" (348 cm x 417 cm).
Circa: 1910.
This antique circa 1910 Karaje rug is a hand-knotted, one-of-a-kind Persian tribal weaving with a richly detailed blue field and an array of geometric medallions, rosettes, and stylized botanical motifs. Its rust red border, ivory highlights, and time-softened palette frame the intricate all-over design with exceptional collector appeal. An ideal centerpiece for a living room, dining area, or office.
Faded warm tones of teal blue, rust, ivory, terracotta, sage, charcoal, camel, and brown, with a teal blue field.
Karaje is a town in north west Iran in the Azerbaijan province close to Heriz. They are known for producing geometric rugs similar to Heriz on a cotton foundation and single wefted.
