Antique Mahal Area Rug (10' x 13')

Dimensions: 10'2" x 13'8" (310 cm x 417 cm). Circa: 1920. This antique Persian Mahal rug, circa 1920, is a handmade, one-of-a-kind carpet with a densely patterned all-over field of scrolling palmettes and floral latticework. Its softened charcoal brown ground, terracotta border, ivory details, and pale blue accents create the nuanced, timeworn character prized in early 20th-century Mahal weaving. An ideal centerpiece for a living room, dining area, or bedroom. Faded warm tones of charcoal, terracotta, ivory, taupe, pale blue, rust, sage, and ebony, with a charcoal field.
