Dimensions: 3'0" x 11'2" (91 cm x 340 cm).
Circa: 1930.
This antique Persian Heriz runner, circa 1930, is a handmade, one-of-a-kind rug distinguished by its elongated sky blue field, ivory geometric medallions, and finely articulated tribal border. Its crisp angular motifs and softly aged palette create a refined balance of traditional Heriz character and airy decorative appeal. An ideal accent for a hallway, entryway, or kitchen.
Faded cool tones of sky blue, ivory, taupe, beige, camel, slate, and brown, with a sky blue field.
Located in north west Iran, Heriz is one of the most well known rug weaving centers. They are woven with geometric designs on a cotton foundation using the symmetrical (Turkish / Ghiordes) knot. They usually come with a large central squarish medallion with pendants either ends.
