This antique Kars rug, circa 1930, is a handmade, one-of-a-kind Anatolian carpet with a striking compartmented medallion design set against a rich rust field and framed by bold floral borders. Its hand-knotted character is expressed through softly aged color, graphic symmetry, and beautifully drawn floral motifs in charcoal, ivory, coral, and muted blue that give the piece strong decorative presence.
