Handmade and one-of-a-kind, this antique Khotan rug from East Turkestan, circa 1940, presents a refined all-over lattice of stylized floral and pomegranate motifs across a softly aged taupe-gray field. The elongated runner format is framed by bold geometric borders in terra cotta, ivory, and charcoal, showcasing the distinctive balance of Chinese-influenced drawing and Central Asian weaving tradition that collectors prize in Khotan carpets. Its muted palette and intricate pattern make it an ideal choice for a hallway, living room, or office.
Faded warm tones of taupe, terra cotta, charcoal, ivory, camel, slate, and sienna, with a taupe field.
