Vintage Afshar Area Rug (4' x 7')
Dimensions: 4'1" x 7'3" (124 cm x 221 cm).
This vintage Afshar rug is a handmade, one-of-a-kind tribal weaving with a richly patterned all-over field set against a deep navy ground. Repeating latch-hooked lozenges, angular borders, and saturated rust, ivory, and sky-blue accents give it the bold geometry and collector appeal associated with Persian village rugs. Its graphic scale and durable visual presence make it an ideal choice for a living room, hallway, or office.
Muted warm tones of navy, rust, ivory, sky_blue, camel, slate, and terracotta, with a navy field.

Afshar is a tribal group of people located in Southwest Iran, the Caucasian mountains, and Turkey. Most Afshari rugs are produced in village workshops in Southwest Iran. They are woven mostly on wool in a squarish format. The design usually features three center medallions surrounded by small geometric motifs where the use of botehs in the design is common.
