This antique Shiraz rug, circa 1920, is a handmade, one-of-a-kind Persian tribal weaving distinguished by its column of stepped diamond medallions and richly drawn geometric motifs. Its time-softened palette of rust, camel, ivory, and brown gives the hand-knotted field a beautifully worn character, while the layered border and tribal ornament lend depth and collector appeal.
