Antique Heriz Runner Rug (2' x 10')
Dimensions: 2'11" x 10'1" (89 cm x 307 cm).
Circa: 1930.
This antique Heriz runner, woven in Persia circa 1930, is a handmade, one-of-a-kind piece distinguished by its bold geometric drawing and elongated sequence of stepped medallions. The pale ivory field and sky blue border are animated by camel and soft brown accents, creating a beautifully faded palette that highlights the rug’s graphic tribal character and hand-knotted craftsmanship. Its narrow 2' x 10' format makes it an elegant choice for a hallway, entryway, or kitchen.
Faded neutral tones of ivory, sky blue, camel, light blue, taupe, and brown, with a ivory field.

Located in north west Iran, Heriz is one of the most well known rug weaving centers. They are woven with geometric designs on a cotton foundation using the symmetrical (Turkish / Ghiordes) knot. They usually come with a large central squarish medallion with pendants either ends.
