This vintage Hamadan runner is a handmade, one-of-a-kind piece with a classic tribal geometric design that showcases the enduring character of Persian village weaving. Its elongated field features a rhythmic chain of stepped diamond medallions in softly faded rose, taupe, and muted blue, framed by an ivory border with small geometric rosettes for a refined yet relaxed decorative presence. Hand-knotted and richly patterned, it is an ideal choice for a hallway, entryway, or narrow living space.
Faded warm tones of rose, taupe, ivory, brown, muted blue, and dusty pink, with a rose field.
Hamadan is a Kurdish city in north western Iran famed for its rug production. Numerous villages around the city produce rugs with their own design elements, all under the name Hamadan. They are woven on a cotton foundation, and are single wefted.
