Dimensions: 4'2" x 6'3" (127 cm x 191 cm).
This vintage Far Sarouk rug is a handmade, one-of-a-kind Persian carpet with an elegant all-over floral design and a richly detailed border. Its deep navy field is enlivened by rust, rose, and ivory accents that create a finely drawn, collector-friendly pattern with classic hand-knotted character and strong decorative presence. A versatile accent for a living room, bedroom, or office.
Muted warm tones of navy, rust, rose, ivory, burgundy, slate, and terra cotta, with a navy field.
Far Sarouk rugs (sometimes listed as "Farahan Sarouk") represent the earliest phase of Sarouk production, woven in the villages of the Arak region in the late nineteenth and very early twentieth century before the style shifted toward the heavier American Sarouk format. These early pieces retain the refined drawing and restrained palette of the Farahan tradition — typically featuring an all-over floral spray design or a central medallion on a rich red or ivory ground.
They are more delicate and less commercial than later Sarouks, and are prized by collectors for their elegance and historical importance.
