This handmade, one-of-a-kind vintage Far Sarouk rug showcases a striking Persian village design with a dramatic sky-blue central medallion set against a richly patterned red field. Hand-knotted with collector-friendly geometric and floral detailing, it features an inky navy border, crisp ivory accents, and beautifully balanced symmetry that gives the piece strong decorative presence. An ideal accent for an entryway, bedroom, or office.
Vibrant warm tones of red, navy, sky blue, ivory, rust, cobalt, charcoal, and camel, with a red field.
Far Sarouk rugs (sometimes listed as "Farahan Sarouk") represent the earliest phase of Sarouk production, woven in the villages of the Arak region in the late nineteenth and very early twentieth century before the style shifted toward the heavier American Sarouk format. These early pieces retain the refined drawing and restrained palette of the Farahan tradition — typically featuring an all-over floral spray design or a central medallion on a rich red or ivory ground.
They are more delicate and less commercial than later Sarouks, and are prized by collectors for their elegance and historical importance.
