Dimensions: 4'1" x 6'4" (124 cm x 193 cm).
Circa: 1930.
This antique Baktiary rug, hand-knotted in Persia circa 1930, is a handmade one-of-a-kind piece distinguished by its richly drawn all-over floral design and softly aged palette. The ivory field is framed by a rust and slate border, with angular botanical motifs and geometric detailing that showcase the character and craftsmanship prized in Baktiary weaving. Its balanced composition and warm, time-softened colors make it an elegant accent for a living room, bedroom, or office.
Faded warm tones of ivory, rust, slate, taupe, terra cotta, brown, and charcoal, with a ivory field.
The Baktiary is a tribe located in western Iran. They produce colorful geometric rugs often with a compartment design filled with stylized floral motifs or bold medallions. The village rugs are woven on a cotton foundation with the nomadic pieces on a woolen foundation.
