Dimensions: 4'0" x 9'10" (122 cm x 300 cm).
Circa: 1910.
This antique circa 1910 Kuba rug from the Caucasus is a hand-knotted, one-of-a-kind weaving with a cool blue-gray field animated by rust-red rosettes, ivory floral centers, and sharply drawn tribal geometry. Its repeating lattice of stylized blossoms and hooked motifs is framed by a narrow reciprocal border, offering exceptional graphic rhythm and collector-worthy early 20th-century character. An ideal centerpiece for a hallway, living room, or office.
Muted cool tones of blue gray, rust, ivory, charcoal, dark brown, tan, muted gold, and terracotta, with a blue gray field.
Kuba is a city and district north of Shirvan in the Caucasus, producing visually impacting fine and small format rugs. The designs include geometric motifs and sometimes stylized animals.
