This vintage Tulu rug is a handmade, one-of-a-kind Anatolian piece distinguished by its spacious field and striking tribal geometry. The abstract arrangement of ivory and taupe ground tones with charcoal, gray, and pale blue motifs gives it a softly weathered presence, while the handwoven construction and bold linear symbols lend depth and collector appeal. Its understated palette and graphic composition make it an ideal foundation for a living room, bedroom, or office.
Faded neutral tones of ivory, taupe, gray, charcoal, cream, and pale blue, with a ivory field.
Tulu rugs are woven in the Konya area of Turkey. They were originally made as bedding rugs. The Term “Tulu” means “long haired”. They have a long lustrous pile with a course weave and bold archaic designs which make them ideal for contemporary décor.
