Dimensions: 2'0" x 12'0" (61 cm x 366 cm).
This vintage Jijim rug is a handmade, one-of-a-kind flatwoven runner distinguished by its rhythmic lattice of tribal diamonds and finely stepped geometric motifs. Its warm terracotta and ivory palette, sharpened with dark linear accents, gives the piece strong graphic presence while showcasing the precise craftsmanship and cultural character associated with Anatolian kilim weaving. A striking choice for a hallway, entryway, or kitchen.
Muted warm tones of ivory, terra cotta, charcoal, rust, and camel, with a ivory field.
Jijim is a flat weave. It is usually woven on a horizontal loom in a similar way as a Kilim, but where warps are grouped together, they often have brocaded embellishments. They were used as bed covers or curtains and are mostly found in northwest Iran, Turkey, and the Caucasus.
