This antique Heriz rug, hand-knotted in Persia circa 1930, is a one-of-a-kind piece distinguished by its bold geometric drawing, angular medallion-based composition, and richly articulated border. The terracotta-red field is enlivened by powder blue, ivory, and deep brown accents that showcase the rugged village craftsmanship and striking decorative presence collectors prize in early 20th-century Heriz carpets.
