Dimensions: 4'4" x 8'0" (132 cm x 244 cm).
Circa: 1930.
This antique Turkish Tulu rug, circa 1930, is a handmade, one-of-a-kind tribal weaving with a plush wool pile and boldly graphic prayer-niche composition. Its saturated crimson field, dark brown framing, saffron outlines, and lavender diamond motifs create a striking balance of folk-art geometry and tactile shag texture. An ideal centerpiece for a living room, bedroom, or hallway.
Vibrant warm tones of crimson, dark brown, saffron, lavender, rose, coral, ivory, and olive, with a crimson field.
Tulu rugs are woven in the Konya area of Turkey. They were originally made as bedding rugs. The Term “Tulu” means “long haired”. They have a long lustrous pile with a course weave and bold archaic designs which make them ideal for contemporary décor.
