This vintage Tulu rug is a handmade, one-of-a-kind Anatolian piece distinguished by its bold tribal geometry and luminous ivory field. Hand-knotted with a plush wool pile, it features an elegant lattice of elongated diamond motifs in dark brown that gives the composition a graphic, minimalist presence while preserving the warmth and character of traditional village weaving. Its spacious pattern and restrained palette make it an ideal centerpiece for a living room, bedroom, or dining room.
Muted neutral tones of ivory and dark brown, with a ivory field.
Tulu rugs are woven in the Konya area of Turkey. They were originally made as bedding rugs. The Term “Tulu” means “long haired”. They have a long lustrous pile with a course weave and bold archaic designs which make them ideal for contemporary décor.
