This antique Heriz rug from Persia, circa 1920, is a handmade, one-of-a-kind piece distinguished by its angular medallion design and time-softened palette. Its geometric drawing, hand-knotted construction, and beautifully faded field create the understated character collectors prize in early Heriz carpets, while the layered border and spacious abrashed surface add depth and decorative versatility.
