This antique Heriz rug, woven in Northwest Persia circa 1920, is a handmade, one-of-a-kind piece distinguished by its bold angular medallion and crisply drawn tribal-geometric ornament. The softly faded palette of sky blue, ivory, taupe, and brown gives the hand-knotted design an elegant, timeworn character, while the layered border and spacious field showcase the graphic artistry that makes Heriz carpets so enduringly collectible.
