This vintage Oushak rug is a handmade, one-of-a-kind piece distinguished by its bold geometric medallion composition and striking Anatolian character. The coral field is framed by an ivory border with stylized tribal motifs, while crisp blue and rust accents give the hand-knotted design strong graphic presence and collector-friendly decorative appeal. Oushak is a town in West Central Anatolia. Since the fifteenth century, it is the most famous and important rug producing center of Turkey. Particularly well known are the rugs known by their pattern such as “Large Medallion Oushak, “Star Oushak” “and Small medallion Oushak”.
