Dimensions: 4'7" x 6'9" (140 cm x 206 cm).
Circa: 1930.
This antique Baktiary rug, circa 1930, is a handmade, one-of-a-kind Persian village weaving distinguished by its classic garden panel design and richly articulated border. The compartmentalized field showcases geometric floral and tree motifs in ivory, red, and deep blue, creating a lively yet balanced composition with the collector appeal of hand-knotted craftsmanship. Its graphic structure and warm, saturated palette make it an ideal centerpiece for a living room, office, or entryway.
Vibrant warm tones of ivory, red, navy, sky blue, rust, charcoal, and camel, with a ivory field.
The Baktiary is a tribe located in western Iran. They produce colorful geometric rugs often with a compartment design filled with stylized floral motifs or bold medallions. The village rugs are woven on a cotton foundation with the nomadic pieces on a woolen foundation.
