About this rug Show less
Dimensions: 8'2" x 11'2" (249 cm x 340 cm). Circa: 1930. This antique circa 1930 Heriz rug is a handmade, one-of-a-kind Persian carpet distinguished by its bold central medallion and richly drawn all-over floral geometry. The terracotta-red field is framed by a spacious ivory and blue-gray border, creating striking contrast and showcasing the crisp, hand-knotted character collectors prize in early 20th-century Heriz weaving. Its warm, time-softened palette and commanding symmetry make it an ideal centerpiece for a living room, dining room, or office. Faded warm tones of rust, ivory, taupe, slate, terra cotta, camel, sienna, and gold, with a rust field.
Size
Hand-knotted rugs are never exactly nine by twelve, so a foot of give is the default.
